About
Dr. Hong is an Otolaryngologist-Head & Neck Surgeon practicing in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Toronto, Canada. He performs surgery on the face and neck exclusively and specializes in rhinoplasty, facelift and eyelid surgery. Originally from Oakville, Ontario, Dr. Hong graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Bachelor of Health Sciences and received his MD degree from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine.
He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto during which time he pursued additional training in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in New York City, Seoul, Yorkville and Montreal. He is also one of the only facial plastic surgeons who has obtained training in Oculoplastics and Cosmetic Dermatology.
Dr. Hong is currently on the teaching faculty at the University of Toronto and has privileges at both Humber River Hospital and William Osler Health System. He has given presentations both nationally and internationally and has over 20 peer-reviewed publications to date in some of the top medical journals in the world, including the British Medical Journal, Journal of Clinical Oncology and Annals of Surgery.
His article on Methodological Guide to Adopting New Aesthetic Surgical Innovations was selected as the Best North American Journal Article in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, which provides guidance to aesthetic surgeons around the world when deciding to adopt new cosmetic techniques, technologies and/or products.
